De acuerdo a datos del Consejo Nacional de Evaluaci\u00f3n de la Pol\u00edtica de Desarrollo Social (Coneval), Eloxochitl\u00e1n se mantiene como el municipio que tiene a m\u00e1s poblaci\u00f3n ind\u00edgena en situaci\u00f3n de pobreza extrema.<\/p>\n

El estudio \u2018Pobreza y poblaci\u00f3n ind\u00edgena en M\u00e9xico\u2019 del Coneval, se\u00f1ala que en todo el pa\u00eds hay un total de 44 municipios con poblaci\u00f3n ind\u00edgena, cuya poblaci\u00f3n vive bajo el umbral de la pobreza extrema.<\/p>\n

Por lo que hace a Puebla solo Eloxochitl\u00e1n aparece en la lista, en el lugar 42. Se ubica en el sureste de Puebla y registra alta presencia de poblaci\u00f3n ind\u00edgena, con m\u00e1s del 60 por ciento de ella en situaci\u00f3n de pobreza extrema, seg\u00fan el Coneval.<\/p>\n

No es la primera vez que Eloxochitl\u00e1n encabeza la lista de municipios m\u00e1s pobres del estado; en 2015 el Coneval refiri\u00f3 que el 90 por ciento de la poblaci\u00f3n general viv\u00eda en situaci\u00f3n de pobreza.<\/p>\n

Puebla figura como el tercer estado con m\u00e1s poblaci\u00f3n hablante de lengua ind\u00edgena, con m\u00e1s del 60 por ciento que vive en situaci\u00f3n de pobreza.<\/p>\n
