De acuerdo con Christopher Moore, estudiante de doctorado de la Universidad de Leeds, en Reino Unido, el continente africano se est\u00e1 separando en dos, lo que dar\u00eda paso a la surgimiento de un nuevo oc\u00e9ano y otro continente.<\/p>\n

Christopher Moore explic\u00f3 en entrevista con NBC News que la separaci\u00f3n de un par de placas tect\u00f3nicas (Ar\u00e1bica y Africana) sobre las que se ubica el continente, provocar\u00e1n que se separe en dos partes, dando paso a la aparici\u00f3n de un nuevo oc\u00e9ano y un peque\u00f1o continente.<\/p>\n

El especialista estima que el suceso tardar\u00e1 entre 5 y 10 millones de a\u00f1os en terminar y formar\u00e1 una nueva cuenca oce\u00e1nica entre lo que hoy conocemos como \u00c1frica y un nuevo peque\u00f1o continente.<\/p>\n
